Trombone
Born in 1973, Thierry Spiesser starts playing trombone at 10 years old. One year later he begins studies at Conservatoire National de région in Strasbourg (music academy), following lessons of Vincent Debes and Bernard Poulain, and gets at 17 years old the gold medal. In 1991, he obtains the first certificate from the jury of the Academy, and in 1992, the first prize of trombone from the French Musical Confederation. In 1993, he receives the interregional price in Metz and the first price from Mulhouse National School of Music, with congratulations from his examiners.
Thierry Spiesser plays as soloist with numerous music bands and teaches at Conservatoire National de région in Strasbourg since 1995 as well as in local music schools in Alsace. He’s interested by all kind of musics, espacially contemporary and baroque.
